Suzie Wins Network Galway Business Woman
of the Year - Self Employed

The fifth Annual Network Galway Business Woman of the Year Awards took place at Glenlo Abbey Hotel, on Saturday 17th October and was to be a spectacular affair.  The evening kicked off at 7pm with a Champagne Reception, followed by a five course dinner, presentation of the awards with Loretta Ní Ghabháín as MC, Special Guest Padraig O'Ceidigh, CEO Aer Arann and dancing until late to the sound of Garrett Philips and The Wall Street Jazz Band.

This annual event celebrates excellence and innovation in business. Award Sponsors for 2009 were RDJ Glynn, Computer Troubleshooters, Think PR, Busy Lizzie, Denise Hogan Designs, Galway Now and Galway Independent.

The Judging panel comprised of Imelda Tierney, Solicitor at RDJ Glynn, Hillary Martyn, Editor of the Galway Independent and Patricia McCrossan, Managing Director of Galway Now Magazine.

Speaking at the launch, Áine Kilgallon, President Network Galway said “The awards are about celebrating and recognising the amazing contribution that women have made and continue to make to business life in Galway. In these challenging times it is now more important than ever to support, encourage and celebrate our fellow women in business. Unlike other award ceremonies this one is "for women by women" and considering the high calibre of business woman in Galway. The winners from the first three categories are then put forward for The Network Ireland National Awards in 2010”.
